Hey everyone!We've got an early holiday gift for you! 🎁As highlighted in our previous patch notes, we've been hard at work reworking some of the game's core systems. Both the ball mechanics and the ability system have been completely overhauled, rebuilt from the ground up with new systems. Today, we're excited to roll out these updates for you to test.
Our goal is for these new systems to deliver smoother and more reliable gameplay while enhancing the overall experience. That said, as with any major changes, there's always the chance of new bugs sneaking in.Please keep in mind that these systems are still a work-in-progress. Ball and Ability systems
Abilities
- Reenabled the "Jump Pad" ability.
Weapons- Updated icons/screenshots.
Animations- Added winning animations for the round winner podium:
- Crossed Arms
- Thumbs Up
- Loser Pose
Round Beats- Weapons have been removed from the podium.
Levels- Began development on a new upcoming arena.
Controller Support (Main Menu)- Started work on adding controller support for the main menu.
VFX- All abilities have been ported to the new system.
Bug Fixes- Fixed visual glitches on Arena 1.
- Fixed an issue with audio sliders when using a controller.
- Fixed an issue with the ball's pathfinding.
- Fixed an issue where players could get stuck and become unable to use any input.
- Fixed an issue where players could use placeable abilities after dying if the ability was started before death.
- Fixed an issue where the game would start in a small window in the corner of the screen.
- (This may cause a brief visual effect when the game starts; we are actively working on a better fix.)
- Fixed an issue where players could spectate other "dead" players.
- Enabled the new ball system.
- Disabled the old ball system.
- Enabled the new GAS-driven Ability System.
- Disabled the old Ability System.
